Anna E. Bauman
Anna E. Bauman passed away at her home in the northwest part of town on Tuesday morning. Mrs. Bauman had been in failing health for some time but her condition was not serious until a few days ago. Mrs. Bauman reached the age of 7 yrs. She was born in Switzerland and came to this country when a girl. She was married to John Hix Bauman and they lived on a farm south of Bern until Mr. Bauman's death several years ago when she moved to Bern and has resided here since. Mrs. Marti lived with her since she moved to Bern. Funeral services will be held today at the German Apostolic church southeast of Bern and burial will be in the church cemetery nearby.

Just FYI. In the Monroe County OHGen Web there is a posting of an Anna(Hubacher) Baumgartner who was married to a Benedict Baumgartner of Monroe County. She died about Jan 19, 1911 just east of Vera Cruz, IN. Just a quick synopsis if the reading; Born in Germany in December of 1822 and was married the first time there to Mechiah Aschleman and had 5? children.
Her second marriage was to Benedict and moved to Wells County, IN over 43 years ago. From this marriage they appeared to have 6 children. She had no brothers or sisters. The funeral and interment was held at the Christian Apostolic Church near Vera Cruz.

Benedicht married Anna Hauert on 20 Aug 1824. Anna (daughter of Peter Hauert and Barbara Hodler) was born on 2 Jun 1805 in Gurzelen, Bern, Switzerland; died about 1855 in Sardis, Monroe County, OH. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
