According to the book, Zähjs Holz, a new house was built on the same place as the old house in 1803 by Niklaus Gerber. Over the front door on the west side is an inscription that says "BMNG ZMDG 1803" which stands for Baumeister (builder) Niklaus Gerber and Zimmermeister (carpenter) Daniel Grimm. There has apparently been an outdoor electric lamp mounted over the initials making it difficult to see. On the stove inside there is the following inscription: "Come warm yourself by me. I will allow you to do it.
Niklaus Gerber Anna Steiner 1829".
