12 | Giebelkellen House This is another Gerber house called Giebelkellen. It is an early childhood home of Christian Gerber, father of Ernst Gerber. Inside the home is an old stove with an inscription on it of Niklaus Gerber and Barbara Aeschlimann. There was an elderly woman living here with her son. The woman was peeling potatoes to feed to their cattle to ease their stomachs. | ||

15 | Group conversation at Baumgarten. At this table, you will find occupants of Baumgarten as well as our group. You can see how friendly they were to our group who showed up unexpectedly and were complete strangers. This was the way we were received everywhere we went. | ||

Once the house is handed down to the youngest male child, the parents move into the Stoeckli. The early "Gemeinschaft Evangelisch Taufgesinnter" or "Fröhlichianer" church met here. In the United States, the church is known as the Apostolic Christian Church. | ||
